Interesting question. Hmm... for me it's hard to choose a specific favorite. Even for the realm of fiction (fake) which Touhou is in, it's hard for me to choose a one specific character that I like above all the others. A lot of their themes are very catchy! And as you can probably guess by my username and profile picture, I have "songs' plural that I use to praise Him.

It's like... well actually that's a good example... my profile picture "With my Songs I Praise Him" Psalm 28:7. It's like asking, what is my favourite song? For me I like a lot of songs. I use a variety to praise Him.

However, what I notice is that I really like a song, like instrumental music, and I can listen to it for hours, and then suddenly I get tired of it and want to listen to another instrumental song for variety.

In terms of choosing a favourite Touhou (fictional aka fake) character, it's important we do not look on the outside appearances, but rather who they are on the inside. What Touhou character has good morals? Which Touhou character loves God and aims to obey the commandments? Hmm... for me it's hard to tell because I would have to look through every single Touhou character's personal backstories and histories to see.

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

What is guaranteed though is that all Touhou characters are sinners. As the Bible tells us, only God is good.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Eventually though, all characters will have faith in God and be washed of their sins. Therefore, everyone will become believers in Jesus and gain righteousness.

As well... I use my knowledge of Touhou as a means of conversation for evangelism of this truth of Christian Universalism. Many different people have different favourite characters. So I feel, if I say that one Touhou character is my "favourite" over another, then that might hurt another person's feelings.

As a Touhou fan, some people like to rank characters they personally like in a tier list. But, when I would look at that, I would feel bad if the characters that I liked were at the bottom. Unfortunately, the natural result of a tier list is that there must be characters who are ranked high and others that are ranked low, the favourites and the unfavourites.

In terms of the real world (non-fiction), for me my favourite character is the LORD God. That's why I strive to earn the favour of the Lord primarily.

Psalm 90:17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

Psalm 5:12 For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

For a real world example, I remember when I was young I played Roblox. I still play Roblox, specifically on the Free Draw server where I draw Bible verses and evangelize to people there. (See attached picture below for one of the drawings I made).

But in the past, on one of my older accounts years ago, I realized that I had so many friends on a friends list that I lost track of the people that I talked to more frequently than others. So on my profile page description, I made a section titled "Best friends:". And I included the names of people I talked to more often. And multiple of these people I knew in real life at my school.

So one day at my elementary school, one of my friends asked me I think around the halls or the boys washroom something along the lines of "How, how come I'm not on your friends list". This made me feel sad for them, because I didn't realize that even though I didn't talk to them as much as others, they saw me as a very important friend to them.

So later, when I got home, I updated the list to say something along the lines of "Best friends: All my friends". I would later see this same person throughout many many years, appearing in unexpected places at times, and they would remember my name. To be honest, I'm not very good at remembering names, so I did forget their name one time and called them something else, which ughhh.... I feel bad for. But I remember their actual name now just because I've seen them so many times.

So, this person, when I was young, I may not have put him on my "favourite character" aka my "best friends:" list, but now honestly, he's one of the friends that I remember the most ironically enough.

So, to be honest, when you ask me "What is your favourite Touhou character", I think of that real life situation. For me, I am against the sins that the Touhou characters make, yet I love the person, the "character". Just like how the Lord Christ hates sin yet loves the sinner.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Therefore, who is God's favourite person? If we the people of Earth are like characters in a series (a non-fiction series), then who does God love the most? Truly, I say, God loves all of us. Everyone will eventually earn God's favour as all people will have faith in Christ and be made clean from their wrongdoings. Amen.

I no longer have access to that old Roblox account, it got hacked unfortunately, but if I still had that list, your name would be on there alongside all my other friends :D

Sorry for the delay in my response. To be honest, the message you sent about who my favourite Touhou character was made me nostalgic for the past. Honestly, I've had different characters that I've focused more or less on, like different songs that I would listen to often, and then not often.

Hopefully my answer was satisfactory. Ahhhh... well I really do struggle with picking favourites! I hope you don't mind. But all of my friends are my favourite friends! That's the logic I have developped over the years :biggrin
