SailorWriter asks me the following

I know I am asking a lot of questions nowadays, but please hear me out. Do you think that True, Born Again Christians should not play Touhou because it contain things like false folklore, Seiga Kaku, idolatry, witchcraft, witch signs, etc.?

Hi SailorWriter

No worries about the amount of questions my friend! I enjoy conversing with you, it's not often people listen to what I say, so it brings me joy that you are interested!

To be honest, it reminds me of a direct message exchange I had with my friend, can.of.soup, who recently converted to Christianity. They originally messaged me first, since they saw my posts. And I would answer their questions on a daily basis, every day. I was able to teach about Christian Universalism, where everyone will eventually become believers in Jesus Christ and gain permanent life!

I have a Word Document where I put all of our messages back and forth together and the word count is 41,994. I searched online, and based on this website:

It seems that text over 40,000 words is considered a novel.

So... I had so much fun answering their questions and talking back and forth that I accidentally wrote a novel XD. And that's only one of my friends I mention here as an example! Larry LaRue who I've emailed about Preterism, ShanaBrown, FineLinen, St Steven, White Wings about UR, many people for months I've typed. And I include you in the list too Sailor Writer my friend! I'm the type of person who genuinely enjoys making posts like this! So it's truly no worries at all! :D

Ok ok, but I think I got on a side tangent, like I sometimes do. Okay, to answer your question then.

As a true born again Christian, I define them as a person who has truly believed in Jesus Christ with faith alone. That way, the Holy Spirit has genuinely come to dwell inside of them permanently, sealed. They cannot lose their salvation, they are permanently saved and have permanent life.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Ephesians 4:30 the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

As a true born again Christian, it's important to recognize that the Lord is against falsehood. We must bear truthful witness to events, as the Ten Commandments tell us to.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

As true born again Christians, we also recognize the evil that exists within Seiga Kaku. Jesus is the One True God, nobody is better than Him, only He is Good.

1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

For us true born again Christians, truly, we take a stand against idolatry. As the verse above mentions, there is only one God. There are no multiple gods. Only One. And He is the LORD.

1 Corinthians 10:14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

Our enemies will try to trick the world into believing false religions through evil sorcery. As true born again Christians, we must stand against this deceptive magic, and show people the true light that is Christ!

Revelation 22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

And that verse is a good summary of the things you mentioned.

Do you know where all of these things exist in?

Yes truly...

They exist on the Internet!

That's right. And yet, you and I both use the Internet to communicate in each other. We do this because we recognize also the good that can exist in the Internet. Online evangelism, soulwinning websites, Gospel videos, Bible verse pictures.

And yet a website can contain something evil yes, like the false religion of Shintoism! Online Buddhist monks may try to convert people to a fake religion. Videos of propoganda may try to promote murder. Pictures may contain verses from the Qu'ran.

And music. The instruments that play sounds. When I hear Touhou music, I associate that with the true Creator of Music, the Lord of Hosts. :) I do not associate it with the false religions of Hinduism, Buddhism and Shintoism that Touhou promotes, but rather with the true religion of Christianity.

I do not conform myself a Christian to Touhou, I conform Touhou to Christianity

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,

I do not conform myself a Christian to false practices in Touhou. I rebuke them. But for all things, they exist in a collection. Truly, there are things in Touhou which, by themselves, are good. Like, taking away all evil things, the instrumental music sounds good. Like the food offered for an idol.

1 Corinthians 8:4 Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”

In my perspective, I realize that Touhou characters have no real existence. I understand the truth that Touhou is a fictional, meaning fake series. So when I enjoy Touhou music, I enjoy the music itself. Music is a spiritual food in a sense. For me, I'm personally okay with listening to "music offered to the Touhou idols of Shintoism, Buddhism, Hinduism" because I realize that Shintoism is a lie, Buddhism is false, and Hinduism is nothing at all.

1 Corinthians 8:8 Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.

Why would a person eat food? To strengthen themselves, to give them energy, stamina, so they can run around the city and post soulwinning messages on street poles, which is what I do. I just came back from doing that now.

And when doing that, I also hummed to myself out loud music. I think about Touhou music, the melodies, they are very exciting. And that music motivates me to keep soulwinning! To keep evangelizing the Christian truth to everybody!

1 Corinthians 8:7 However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

I do not worship the false Touhou idols of Shintoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. And when I listen to Touhou music, look through Touhou content, I do not see that as worship. But you, my friend, and I say this with kindness, may have a conscience that is associated with idols, you may think that partaking in Touhou content means you're really engaged in it.

Personally, like food, it's a person's personal choice what they eat. After all, food is just sustenance. It's a means to an end. Anyone can listen to any type of music, or eat any type of food. The importance is that it points to Christ.

Why do I eat? Why do I listen to music? Why am I alive? It's because I use this temporary human lifespan given to me to serve the Lord. And I will take the things in my life and transform them into serving the Lord too.

I can transform Touhou music into extra running steps when handing Gospel tracts to people. I can eat spicy, cold, hot, salty, sweet food to give me the energy to run just a little bit further! Just to reach that next street pole that I can attach a Christian Universalism message to!

Romans 14:2 One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.

(And I say this with kindness, because you remind me of yourself when I was younger. I used to be weak in many things. I have grown stronger though and I guarantee that you my friend will grow stronger still)

That is why I call myself a Touhou fan. That's why I spread the Gospel of Christian Universalism on Touhou Discord. I am a Christian Touhou Fan and I transform Touhou into Christianity. I am a fan of what is good in Touhou and against what is bad in Touhou.

Philippians 3:21 Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

I am a Christian on the Internet and I transform the Internet into Christianity. That is why I call myself an Internet fan. I am a Christian Internet fan and I transform the Internet into Touhou. I am a fan of what is good in the Internet and against what is bad in the Internet.

Thus, through the Internet I bless you my friend Sailor Writer. If it weren't for Touhou, we may not have met each other here on this site. But I'm grateful I was able to transform that aspect of Touhou into a force of Good through Christianity. <3
