Yeah. people on the internet can be creepy sometimes. The best practice is to avoid giving any personally identifiable information.
So, Ifm sorry that you had to experience that my friend. :( They did not respect your personal boundaries, and as we know, love does not insist on itfs own way. 1 Cor 13:4-5. Biblically, they were not gentle, nor were they courteous to you.
Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
One time, my sister was playing the online MMORPG Adventure Quest Worlds (AQW) and a random creepy guy suddenly, I think something alone the lines of gconfessed his love for herh. But I definitely remember what happened afterwards because he then proceeded to ask her for her phone number in private messages so he can contact her IRL. She told me about this, and as her big brother, I went to her computer screen to see the chat and I was shocked.
Nobody deserves to have their personal boundaries violated. Especially since my sister is a minor, like a child. I donft even remember if we had a cell phone back then, might have just been our land line. But imagine how scary it would be to have someone like that contacting our house. They could use the area code from our phone number to narrow down where we are and cause physical harm. Reminds me of the Elliot Ghindi controversy. My sister and I liked the character Tighnari, ever since he first released months ago, so it was hearbreaking to see the their voice actor performing sexual misconduct on minors. Even scarier looking at the victims chat logs, which I showed my sister and mother, so they can stay safe from creepy people online. It was going on for months, Elliot Ghindi wanted to have forced sexual intercourse on one victim, which from my above post is defined as rape, and wanted to meet up IRL with another. He took advantage of his position, itfs a great shame. Eventually, all people will be saved, but for many sinners, they will experience mental anguish, which is guilt for their crimes, before realizing their need for a savior and being saved.
A longer post I made on that topic is here:

Mark 9:42 Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.
I think itfs because she was using a female avatar. Thatfs a reason why Ifm not surprised that so many women use male avatars when playing in games, unfortunately many of them can be victims of people trying to steal their information.
Luke 12:2-3 Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
[Hi, post commentary in the square brackets by Harold Samson me here, alright, so, when I say my closest friend hacked me, I want to clarify that I forgive them for what they did and I love them, as Christ has forgiven me for my many sins my friends. All people will be forgiven, because everyone will become believers in Jesus Christ with faith alone and be made clean from their sins and their bloodguilt. For us Christians, itfs good for us to avoid sin as to not grieve the Holy Spirit which we are sealed by to our day of redemption. For those who are not yet Christians, itfs also good for them to avoid sin, since the natural consequence is death. Sin is a disobedience to Godfs Law, and we know that God = Love = Life, therefore sin causes suffering to both ourselves and to other people my friends]
Is a good verse when it comes to how we act online. Even Discord servers can be scary, because people think theyfre gprivateh and they can do sexual misconduct on them. For me, I publish messages that I write to others. I type these posts in a way where I imagine I could show them to my mom, show them to my sister, and have all people in public see them. So, Ifm very particular with how I word things.
Truly, I tell you, one of my closest friends years ago hacked into my email and impersonated me and falsely accused me of doing things I did not do. That was back when 2 factor authentication wasnft as popular, but now a days, itfs a safe option. To be honest, sometimes I get annoyed having to check my phone whenever I log into my bank, but itfs a good safety measure.
