Hello HSong.
Journeyman says “I don't believe we've spoken before, but I would like to share what I know. “
Hi
journeyman my friend. I don't believe we've spoken either, so I will
share what I know in response to what you have said.
Romans
6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As the Bible says, the wages of
sin are indeed death, so for Christ to pay for the wages of death, He
would have to pay for the wages of sin and vice verse. As the verse
later describes, indeed, Our Lord did pay for the wages of sin and
death.
If the Lord is still dead, He would still be
paying for those wages. However, Our Lord resurrected, which means
that He already finished paying off the wages of sin and death. He
escaped death and Sheol, the realm of the dead.
John
19:30 "It is finished."
1 John 2:2: "He is the
propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the
sins of the whole world."
[journeyman falsely says that people are destroyed permanently, which is not true, since the truth is that all people will have permanent life]
Ok,
I get it my friend. I believe your belief is Annihlationism aka
Conditional Immortality. You may be surprised to hear this, but I
used to believe in Annihlationism too. To be honest, it's at least
better than endless torture.
However, it's still a net
negative. People suffer on Earth for a certain number of years, 120,
and then... that's it? They're destroyed. Biblically, we know the
Lord always loves and to destroy His creation permanently would be to
permanently destroy that love.
Psalm
NEB 138:8 The Lord will accomplish His purpose for me. Thy true love,
0 Lord, endures for ever, leave not thy work unfinished.
The
Lord always finishes His work, therefore Annihlationism is false,
because to destroy people while they are still unrepentant, aka those
who have yet to recognize their sins, will be leaving work
unfinished.

Peter 4:6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to
those who are now dead,
1 Peter 3:18 After being made alive, he
went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits—
The
Bible says that Jesus preached to sinners after they died, aka those
in Sheol, the realm of the dead

Yes, the love God has for David and Peter is the same love God has for the whole world John 3:16

Yes, the Gospel was preached to the dead both when they were alive and even after they died.

This verse itself defines those in Christ as those who walk after his Spirit.
The only way to walk in the Spirit is to
believe in Christ with faith alone, so that the Holy Spirit can dwell
inside the believer. Works salvation is false. Only after being
saved, then is someone truly capable of bearing good fruit.
Thanks
for the response my friend, I appreciate your thoughts. The Lord of
Host's blessings of kindness to you <3 Please have a great day
Post Commentary
[journeyman at the beginning literally falsely said that “Jesus did not pay the wages of sin or else he’d still be dead” That’s false! Jesus paid the wages of sin. That’s why He resurrected, because He fully paid for them, the pentalty of sin which is death, and then resurrected to life, because death has been defeated!
Surprised me when I heard that part. The Bible immediately says that Jesus is the propitiation for all sins, it’s pretty clear. That’s why we must not believe all spirits, as some of them can carry false ideas, like how the sacrifice of Christ is not sufficient. Either way, I treat them with love and kindness my friends, as we should do with all people. Even for myself, I used to believe in Annihlationism, which is a false belief, before realizing the truth that is Universal Reconciliation.]
ISAIAH 55:1, 3, 5, 8-11 "Come, all you who are thirsty ...I will make an everlasting covenant with you ... Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations that do not know you will hasten to you, because of the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel ... For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourishes is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
LAMENTATIONS 3:31-33 For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though he may punish cruelly, yet he will have compassion in the fullness of his love; he does not willingly afflict or punish any mortal man.
EZEKIEL 34:11-16, 30-31 For these are the words of the Lord God: Now I myself will ask after my sheep and go in search of them. As a shepherd goes in search of his sheep when his flock is dispersed all around him, so I will go in search of my sheep and rescue them, no matter where they were scattered ... I will bring them out from every nation, gather them in from other lands, and lead them home ...I will search for the lost ... They shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they are my people Israel, says the Lord God. You are my flock, my people, the flock I feed, and I am your God. This is the very word of the Lord God.
