Because everyone will become a believer in Christ with faith alone and be saved. This is an ancient belief, shared by many of the early Christian sects, which has been gaining in popularity in recent years. The essence of Universalism is the idea that Jesus Christ died for the sins of the entire world – not just for a chosen few.
