The following is a conversation between two believers in Christ, myself Harold Samson and can.of.soup. The Holy Ghost is inside both of us, that is God, and therefore we are permanently washed from our sins and saved from the wages of our wrongdoings, which is death my friends :D

Ah I see, no fighting demons. Understood 😅 I like asking sillier questions like that, they’re always good fun! Do you know, or does the bible state, what it feels like to be possessed by a demon? I feel like that’d be pretty scary.

Well, we can fight them, but it’s better to fight them spiritually with Bible verses (sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God., Ephesians 6:12-8) rather than with physically. The Lord can easily defeat any demons, even Satan’s scheme will be foiled by the Almighty Lord, therefore as long as we have God = Love, we know love never fails 1 Cor 13:8 and therefore God never fails either <3

 

But yep, I also enjoy answering creative questions like that! :D It’s fun to look through different Bible verses in order to create a sort of “pathway” with the Hebrew/Greek words, where it leads the reader to a certain conclusion from the connections.

 

In terms of being possessed by a demon, you and I, luckily, don’t have anything to fear. Because both of us are already saved by faith alone in Christ. So, we have the Holy Ghost in us that keeps the demons out. Though, this Bible verse demonstrates some of the effects.

 

Matthew 12:15 Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. A large crowd followed Him, and He healed all who were ill.

 

Matthew 12:18

Here is my servant whom I have chosen,

    the one I love, in whom I delight;

I will put my Spirit on him,

    and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

 

Matthew 12:22

Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.

 

Matthew 12:28

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

 

These verses together show that it is the Holy Spirit that casts out demons. The transformation of a person into a “Kingdom of God” meaning a “Temple of God” which is all believers. 1 Cor 6:19.

 

And notice how it mentions that Jesus has the Holy Ghost inside of Him. He has always had that Holy Spirit in Him, for He is God, thus He has always been good. Therefore, it’s interesting to see how a person with the Holy Spirit can heal other people of their sin or demonic possession. This healing is done by convincing the person to have faith alone in Christ Jesus to be saved permanently, to be healed permanently.

 

Blindness and muteness can be an effect of being possessed by a demon.

Strong's 5185: Blind, physically or mentally. From, tuphoo; opaque, i.e. blind.

 

Notice the word “mentally” here. To answer your question of “what it feels like to be possessed by a demon”, an answer is mental blindness. It’s similar to brain-fog, or amnesia. That feeling when you forget something and you try to remember it so hard, but you can’t. Truly, this world has become mentally blind. They forget that God loves them unconditionally, and so humans hate other humans, and they forget that we are all created in the image of the Lord.

 

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.

 

To be possessed by a demon is to have the emotion of being confused. The people of this world look at all the false religions of the world. Truly, I tell you, any belief system that promotes works salvation is wrong. Because naturally, such a system divides the world into two sets of people, those who are “good” and those who are “bad”. Biblically, only God is Good, everyone else is bad. Therefore, the only way to Heaven is faith alone in Jesus, because only His Blood cleans us of this badness, which is sin.

 

Mark 10:18 Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

 

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints.

 

I mention these two aspects because Satan is the author of blindness and confusion.

 

2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

 

You have already seen the effects of people “possessed”. Like you said in your previous posts, the people who have been blinded by negative stereotypes towards Christianity (Anti-Christians), and confused people who claim to be Christian yet do not love, they do not have faith alone in Jesus (“Christian” works salvationists).

 

Truly, all humans have sin and are possessed by it until they are possessed by the Holy Spirit. Atheist humanists may try to do good works like charity, donating, feeding the poor, yet that does not wash away sin, only faith in Jesus does. There are those who claim to be “Christian” yet do not believe in Jesus, because they want to fit into their culture. I used to be like that, I would attend church before, but nobody would tell me how to be “saved”. I falsely thought my good works could save me, which is false. That’s why I emphasize belief so much, only faith in Jesus saves us.
