I am a Christian Universalist and so is my younger sister. We were talking about various religions and came to the topic of Scientology founded by L. Ron Hubbad. Here’s some of his quotes as taken by this website.

Look at the evil “wants” βουλόμενοι (boulomenoi) Strong's 1014: as it relates to L. Ron Hubbard’s love of money. “you want to get rich” πλουτεῖν (ploutein) Strong's 4147, “a man wanted to make a million dollars”. It’s clear from L. Ron Hubbad’s founding of the evil Church of Scientology that he was describing himself with these quotes.

1 Timothy 6:10 ESV For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.

 

Scientology is like the heresy of Gnosticism that plagued the Early Christian Church, except monetized. Gnostics believed that one must obtain knowledge in order to reach a higher plane of being. The only knowledge that of Christ, specifically, to have faith alone in Him to be saved. Scientologists add a paywall to these higher levels of knowledge, as stated on their official website.

The Church of Scientology also spreads the false belief of pluralism, that people can choose any sort of path to gain spiritual freedom. Quote “

Jesus Christ is the only path to Heaven! Only His blood washes away our sins and allows us to gain true spiritual freedom by our belief in Him!

You have this Superbowl ad with the classic manipulation strategy of trying to frame happiness and hope as exclusive to Scientology. It’s essentially a humanist movement, focused on helping people, good works. And as we know, good works do not save us. How do we get rid of our evil, our sins, we are all born with? Only one religion answers that. Christianity. It’s more than just a religion though, it’s faith alone in Christ, to be permanently saved.

“Inside Scientology. Scientology is the only major religion to emerge in the 20th century.”

Not that it’s necessarily a good thing for it to emerge in the 20^th century. I have to ask, why would it take them so long to reveal this? Why wait this long? Why would Ron L. Hubbard keep writing science fiction novels when he could have revealed this sooner?

The Bible has a reputation of trust, as it’s been around for thousands of years. The Holy Scripture is written by the prophets through the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, Scientology is a false religion created by a mere human sinner.
