The Meeting Place, a Lordship Salvation church, mentions today Sept 10 2023 about James 2:14

After the sermon I explain to my sister around 11:18 AM my anti-Lordship Salvation viewpoint.

We are justified by God by faith alone in Christ, that's the gift we accept, not of our own works.

Ephesians 2:8 NKJV For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God

This is the quote that they put up on the big screen

James 2:14 NIV What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?

Yet in terms of men, they can't see our heart like God. So they look at our works.

As I say to my sister, salvation is to be born again, to be transformed instantly be the Holy Spirit which washes away all our sins which comes from our faith alone in Christ

Faith is the seed. We plant it, aka have faith alone in Christ, and thus are permanently saved already then and there. We can never lose our salvation. Eventually, this believer in Christ will produce good works, the plant will bloom and grow fruit. But the believer was already permanently saved before these works

When a person has faith alone in Cheist, thats saving faith. The faith that would eventually lead to deeds, as mentioned in James. Yet the deeds do not save us, it's the faith alone. The deeds are works of the law, rewards that can be gained and lost that we can boast about. But there's nothing to brag abour in terms of faith alone salvation, since it's only our belief in Christ.

It's more than just a recognition that God exists as one, like the demons believe, it's belief in Jesus Christ, the Gospel. Christ lived a perfect life, was killed, buried and resurrected 3 days later to pay for all of our sins.

Like I explain to my sister, it's a slippery slope when it comes to a sort of checklist mentality. Where people end up ticking off boxes saying "Yep prayed, baptized, donated, fasted, etc," None of those things save us, only faith alone in Christ. Those are still good things to do obviously, but no good works save us.

If a Christian messes up with a mistake, sins, they are still permanently saved, they can never lose their salvation, since its a gift. People can suffer loss based on their good works va bad works because that's a reward based system. So it's good for The Meeting Place to focus on fully-devoted disciples. Yet, it's not by discipleship that we are saved, but by faith alone in Christ

So the full immersion baptism that The Meeting Place had today, while people were singing, it's a good work, but it does not save us. When we believe in Christ and are permanently saved, that's a spiritual baptism, where our sins are washed away. Physical baptism, as it looked like The Meeting Place explained, is just a representative ceremony of the action that the Holy Ghost already took when going inside the believer.

People in the Old Testament were still permanently saved too by the way, even though the Holy Spirit would leave and enter them, in our age the Holy Spirit stays with us permanently. Yet for both of us, it's the action of being permanently counted as righteous before the LORD God that saves us permanently. In our age we have the bonus of the gift of the Holy Spirit staying with us permanently too.

Genesis 15:6 ERV And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

I am completely against Lordship salvation, we are saved by faith alone in Christ.

My sister showed me her finger and there she was wearing a ring that said "Jesus" that she bought and this filled me with joy as I type this here around 12:42 PM. So it would be cool ides to get like my website www.jesus-saves-all.com and engraved on a ring to put on my ring finger.

I think it would make a good conversation topic. So a person may ask what the ring I have says so I can say that it's my website. A way to spread the good news of Christ Jesus even further.

Makes reference a lot to gold rings.

Though I don't want to spend too much money on a ring, well one since I don't have a lot of money and two, to spread out my Gospel strategies.

This was after we ate at the pancake brunch at The Meeting Place. My father, sister and me had pancakes with syrup and juice. One spoke to us and said they worked in criminal justice and used it as an opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I reply saying how I was able to use my own research assistance position as a chance to share that I was a Christian to my Dr. boss while I was in his car.

They had a pancake brunch last year at The Meeting Place.
