Christ, Jesus, savior of the entire world. Believe in Jesus to be saved, all will.
Psalm NKJV 16:10 You will not leave my soul in Sheol.
Journal Entry 45 – No Monkey Business
October 30th (Monday) 2017
Day started out with me waking up late (yes a great start to the day).
ate my snack then worked in the library before getting kicked out because the library literally closes so often nowadays
worked in the library. Got carried away with my doubts on salvation again and searched up a bunch of websites to help clear my mind. By the time my mind was relatively clear, 30 minutes already passed. I didnft know what to do, I couldnft go on like this. I was using up so much of my time studying the Bible that I was getting burned out fast. Instead of using my precious time as a break, I used it to plague my mind with even more confusion and worry. (Donft you just hate the feeling when youfre reading an article that says gEternal securityh in the title but then suddenly starts refuting mid way through.). Itfs overwhelming, not because theyfre right, but because I donft have the time to search up all of these Bible verses online to find the true meaning of them.
At home, because these doubts were too strong. What motivated me though is that the trial of my faith is worth more than gold, that other people in the Bible also suffered from great anxiety and doubt, and that even when we are faithless, God will remain faithful. There wefre even people in the New Testament who believed in Jesus Christ, but who didnft leave their jobs and confess to the world because they loved their jobs too much (Reminds me of what Ifm going to be when I grow up, posting anonymously on the Internet. While itfs not the best solution, itfs the one thatfs the most effective personally and makes me last the longest).
1 Peter 1:7, That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
2 Timothy 2:13, If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
John 12:42-43 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Mark 15:34, And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Psalm 75:10, And all the horns of the wicked He will cut off, But the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.
Itfs ultimately worth it though, since God values me more than when I had those feel good feelings at the beginning of my conversion. Reminds me of how the disciples themselves obtain initial joy of being saved, before feeling even worse through their persecution. Did they lose their salvation? No, because our salvation is not preserved by our subjective feelings, but rather through the objective word of Jesus Christ. By faith alone are we saved, if saved always saved, sealed with the Holy Spirit unto the Day of Redemption!
John 20:19-22
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
I went upstairs and randomly gave my family bananas. My mom got angry because I put bananas on the piano, because I was using them to play the piano as a joke. It was funny at least. Makes me sad when shefs angry though. Donft worry, I forgive her as she has forgiven me for it.
Well thatfs everything. Ifm hungry and have fasted enough typing this (thatfs like the reoccurring theme with these types of things lol). Ifll try not to brag about it anymore though, since at this point you probably already have it engrained into your head that Ifve conicendentally been doing it lol. Anyways, see ya later
Matthew 6:16-18 - Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Isaiah 58:3-7 - Wherefore have we fasted, [say they], and thou seest not? [wherefore] have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
